How long will TLC be closed/when will TLC open again?

We anticipate resuming classes when local, state and federal guidelines permit. Updates will be posted on this website and TLC’s social media pages.

Is TLC still having night classes?

No. For the health, safety, and well-being of our staff and the people we serve we are taking steps to limit the risk of exposure, and we are suspending all classes. We anticipate resuming classes when local, state and federal guidelines permit. Updates will be posted on this website and TLC’s social media pages.

Can I go to a library with my tutor?

Most libraries are currently closed. The CDC is advising no close contact with people who are infected or show symptoms. The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person and between people who are in close contact with one another. Persons over 60 or those with compromised immune systems may have harsher reactions to the virus. If you and your tutor want to meet, we cannot tell you not to meet, but it does conflict with social distancing best practices.

What is the status of TLC orientation and tutor training sessions?

TLC orientation and tutor training is currently suspended. When this changes updated information will be posted here and on our Facebook page and the tutor section of our website.

Can we donate books?

To help reduce the spread of coronavirus, TLC suspend book donations at this time. We will revisit when local, state and federal guidelines permit.

Will GED still be open?

Can I still come to the 1st Ave. N. location to browse books?

Not at this time. TLC has suspended access to our office to the general public in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines.
