We have been talking in the office about our learners who are interested in writing–letters, stories, even a book!   In tutor training we talk about the four parts of literacy–reading, writing, listening and speaking.  Check out ProLiteracy’s Notebook for Spring, Pages 7-10 where you will find a discussion on “essay maps.”  The article will give you tips on helping your budding author organize his thoughts to tell his own story.
